In this study we will focus our attention on the topic of SOURCE. To begin our study of Twins we must begin by examining the definition of TWINS.

TWINS: The main definition of twins is; "two having been born at the same time, and having the same mother". It is not necessarily that they have the same father to be twins, but they must have the same mother. There are cases on record where twins were born of two different fathers. A case in point was a woman from Beaumont Texas during the 1960's who gave birth to a black child and a white child. From the Church Age book we find brother Branham point out the following. "Recently worldwide coverage was given to a Norwegian mother who was suing her husband for support for herself and her twins, one of which was white and the other black. She admitted that she had a Negro lover. The two conceptions were about three weeks apart. In Beaumont, Texas, in 1963, the records again set forth a multiple birth wherein pregnancies were many days apart, in fact so much so that the woman almost died along with one child in childbirth.

Now every Bible student knows that in Scripture, a woman always represents the church. The church is referred to a Bride or a Whore, or harlot. Idolatry is always compared to and referred to as a people committing adultery. And so, the twins we will speak of in this study will refer to the twins that are given birth by the same mother or church. Twins always speaks of two, and only two. Twins does not speak of three for that would be triplets, four is quadruplets, and five is quintuplets. Therefore we will be speaking of TWO. Not ONE, Not THREE, TWO. And this two that we are speaking of in this study are the TWO different types of believers who are given birth by each and every revival.

HEARING RECEIVING AND ACTING 60-0607 E-16 So we find out, that in every revival that's ever been borned in the world, it produces twins. That's right. Every revival has twins. They have a bunch in there that's carnal believers and a bunch of spiritual believers. Every revival produces that: an Esau and Jacob. And as they go along, first thing you know, the carnal begins to think, "Well, these guys are getting off of the deep end. I better separate myself from them." They go back to the intellectual part. They want a pastor that'll speak to them of pleasant things. They don't want that Spirit-filled pastor, that'll obey the Holy Spirit from the platform, just preach the Word just like It is. As John said, "Lay the axe to the root of the tree and let the chips fall where it will." Most of the churches today will vote that out of their pulpit. That's right. It'll come a separation, always does that. It did it in the Methodist age; it did it in the Baptist age; it did it in the Pentecostal age; it'll do it in every age.

EPHESIAN CHURCH AGE 60-1205 113 Now, as I said to begin, 'fore we start off on this again, every revival produces a pair of twins. One is a spiritual man; the other one is a natural man of the earth, "I joined the church; I'm just as good as anybody." And that's what this revival produced. That's what, every revival. That's what Luther's produced; that's what Irenaeus' produced; that's what Saint Martin's produced; that's what Columba's produced; that's what Wesley's produced; and that's what Pentecost produced. Just exactly. You see how they've gone to seed,

EPHESIAN CHURCH AGE 60-1205 153 Now, remember, each church has its formals and each church has its spirituals. That's the twins that's born in every revival and lives in every church. They started it right in this age and it ends up in this age. And finally, the formals took it over in the Thyatira age, and Luther pulled it back out again. And now it's swinging right back in again. Can you see that formal religion? There's no difference between that and Catholicism. It's all the same thing. Every organization's butchered right into it. God never did organize His church. That's exactly what they was trying to do here. And you watch and see now if that isn't right, just show you how cursed an organization is. It was--it was foreign to the new church, the New Testament church. See?

BLIND BARTIMAEUS 61-0124 E-49 Every revival produces twins. The two sons of Jacob--or Isaac is well represented. Every time there's a revival, there's a Esau born and a Jacob born. One religious man of the world gets starchy, and takes some seminary experience; and the other one wants that birthright regardless of how he has to get it. If he has to be a holy-roller, or anything else, he wants the birthright, I don't care. That's what's the matter with the people today. They're afraid of that birthright. Oh, how that they hate that. But it produces twins. The men of the world, very religious inclined, do good alms and things, but cares nothing about the birthright... Those two great factions has been fighting since the world begin. And they're about ready to come to a head right now, where something that Jesus said, "they'd be so close alike they'd deceive the very elected if it was possible." It's true. You see what a deceiving hour that we're living in. Stay with the Word, brother. Don't leave that Word. That's right. The Word will speak for Itself.

The main thread that ties all these quotes together is that in each one, Brother Branham tells us "every revival produces twins." Therefore, we can conclude by this that every time there is a revival, and a church formed it produces two different types of Believer; A True genuine believer, and a false believer or make believer.

Scripture wise, we can show this phenomenon took place on earth as far back as the time of Cain and Abel, who both presented sacrifice God. God received one and rejected the other.

In dealing with Source we need to go back into the Book of beginnings, which is Genesis. The Word Genesis comes from the root word genus, which speaks of birth, source, origin, or generation. Therefore the book of Genesis is the Seed Book in the Bible. This being so, then it must follow that every seed that will ever come forth must be found in this Book. For it is the Book of Seeds.

Now, a seed is by definition a carrier of life. Therefore, the Book of Genesis, being the Seed-Book, must also be the Book of Seed-Life, or shall we say the Book of Life. Therefore, we must go back into this Book of Life, This Book of Seed-Life, in order to find out more about Source in understanding this Bible Doctrine of TWINS.

Since we are examining the source of the two seeds found in the Book of Seeds, (Genesis), it will be here also that we shall find the law which God placed that will govern the reproduction of these two forms of seed life.

GENESIS 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, [and] the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed [is] in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, [and] herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed [was] in itself, after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good.

Now, the first point we must make is this. At this initial point, in the history of this earth, God set forth, or planted in the ground, one of every kind of life form that will ever live on earth. He also set forth a law in order for that life form to be able to regenerate itself. In each life form, God placed a mechanism called seed-life, to bring forth others in the same image and with the same nature. When the Scripture says every seed will bring forth after it's kind, the word kind means nature. Therefore we have a clue as to the identity of these two sources by examining their nature, which will tell us what form of life they are, and who their source of regeneration is.

Therefore we want to find out where the life forms of these two specific seed life come from since they are of such a nature that every revival must bring them forth. We must then find out when the first revival took place that produced the first set of twins? For if he said, every revival has always produced twins then, then we must be able to trace back the two seed-life forms back to their origin.

Now, to understand this we must understand what the word revival means. The word revival is used in reference to a stirring up of those who have been indifferent in the faith, and bringing them back into a meaningful and useful life. The word revival also refers to a bringing back to life or a bringing back into use. And therefore it deals with life, or an infusion of life.

Therefore we can say that when a woman brings forth children there is a life coming forth and a revival in that woman to produce life once again. Therefore, to type a woman with the church is very fitting indeed. Especially in the case of child bearing and revival.

Now, the question remains, where did these first set of earthly twins, Cain and Abel come from.

69-2 EPHESIAN CHURCH AGE - Chapter 3 Now let us be very careful that we are not confused at this point. Thus we will seek the Word to validate this claim. Let us go back to the Book of the beginning, Genesis. In the Garden of Eden there were TWO trees. One was good; one was evil. One produced LIFE, the other produced Death. There were two children who originally offered sacrifices to God. Let me repeat that, they BOTH offered sacrifices to God. Genesis 4:3-5, "And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering He had not respect..." But one (Cain) was evil, being of his father (that Wicked One), while Abel was righteous before the Lord. Again, there were two children from the flesh of the same parents. They were the twins of Isaac and Rebekah. One was the elect of God and the other was reprobate. Both worshipped God. In every single case there was worship of God involved. In every case the evil hated the righteous and persecuted the righteous. In some cases the evil destroyed the righteous. But notice. They were planted together. They lived together. They both made claims upon God and worshipped God.

Now, brother Branham points out here that Cain came from a different source than Abel. This is in fact True and can be attested by what each manifested in his life.

We in I JOHN 3:12 Not as Cain, [who] was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

This declaration is very important for us to understand if we are to believe the Bible Doctrine of TWINS. For the Scripture is given to us to establish Doctrine which will fortify us in our walk with God.

II TIMOTHY 3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, (it is God breathed) and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

John said Cain was of the wicked one. Therefore he could not have been from Adam, for Adam was a son of God. Therefore we must be able to see that Cain manifested something in him that was not manifested by Adam or Adam's children. We then need to look into the source of Cain's manifestation to identify his nature and thus his source.

Now, both of these children were religious, and we can in fact find out that all the way down through the ages both twins were always religious, we must then ask ourselves this question, "If every seed must come forth after its kind, or nature, then it must stand to reason that the source of the two different seeds were in themselves both religious.

Jesus Himself makes this distinction in JOHN 8:38 ¶I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. 39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. (Genesis 1:11 the law or reproduction, every seed after its own nature) 40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. 41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; (we are not serpent seed) we have one Father, [even] God. 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? [even] because ye cannot hear my word. 44 Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. (Now, watch what Jesus says next). He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 45 And because I tell [you] the truth, ye believe me not. 46 ¶ Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? 47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear [them] not, because ye are not of God.

We see here that Jesus brought these men back to their origin by identifying their behavior with the source of that behavior.

Again we see in MATTHEW 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead [men's] bones, and of all uncleanness. 28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. 29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, 30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. 31Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. 32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. 33 [Ye] serpents, [ye] generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

The word Jesus used here when He said, Fill ye up the measure of your fathers, is a Greek word pleroo, which means; to carry into effect, or bring forth into realization or manifestation. And what are the things Jesus is speaking of being brought into realization? It is the measure of their fathers, which is a Greek word metron, which means; the rule or standard of judgment. Therefore Jesus is saying, "bring forth into realization and carry into effect the standard of judgment that your fathers used." He said, you make out like you love the prophets by garnishing their tombs, but you are the children of those who put them in their.

Notice also that Jesus tells them that inwardly they are full of iniquity. This further speaks of their source, and in these words we have the necessary clue to find the source for these men.

Now, to trace back this nature we must go back to the first bringing forth of Life. For we know that God is a Father, and the life is in the male. In the next few verses of scripture we will see how that God, who is the Word, is the great fountain of Life.

JOHN 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God…. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

JOHN 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

PSALMS 36:9 For with thee [is] the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

21-129 Hebrews Chapter 57-0821 "This Great Fountain of Spirit which had no beginning or no end. This Great Spirit began to form in the creation, and the Logos that went out from It was the Son of God. It was the only visible form that the Spirit had. And It was a theophany, which means a body, and the body was like a man.

I JOHN 1:1 ¶ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen [it], and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

JOHN 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life.

LUKE 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

I PETER 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

MARK 4:14 The sower soweth the word.

But where did the life form come from that kills and lies and shows forth a standard of judgment that is wicked and evil?

Now, Jesus Himself then called them serpent seed. But even before the serpent, we find the source of iniquity actually up I heaven in an arch angel called Lucifer.

EZEKIEL 28:12 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone [was] thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou [art] the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee [so]: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou was created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Let's stop here for a moment and break down the attributes of this created being.

Thou sealest up the sum… sealest = chattham meaning to affix a seal. Brother Branham said the seal could not be placed until the item was full. Therefore he filled up the sum. SUM = tokniyth from the root word, To'-ken, which means the pattern.

full of wisdom … FULL = male' maw-lay which means fullness…. Wisdom comes from Hebrew word chokmah hok-mah, wisdom in administration, and comes from the root word chakam hawk-ham meaning to teach wisdom. So we see he was a leader in the administration and in teaching in worship.

SEAL OF THE ANTICHRIST 55-0311 E-18 The right hand man of Almighty God was Lucifer, the son of the morning. The first, God granted him almost co-workers with Him; he was a co-worker, partly equal with Him; only Satan could not create. God is the only Creator, but Satan took something that God created and perverted it back into something else, evil. And now notice, when Cain and Abel, a very beautiful picture of it... Cain and Abel was nothing more than the prefigure of Judas and Jesus.

MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE 65-0221M 17-5 Did you know Satan was coequal with God one day? Sure was, all but a creator; he was everything, stood at the right hand of God in the heavens, a great leading cherubim.

GOD'S SERVANT JOB 55-0223 E-12 As soon as Satan... You know the old--the argument is: why couldn't God have by-passed all this, and not had any of it? But God putting Satan almost coequal with Him, Satan taking the things of God and perverted them into the evil thoughts, and through there began to pervert things into evil instead of good. And God, as soon as the first thing was done, out of His great treasure chest of love, He had a plan of redemption, that quick.

LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN 61-0903 Do you know what caused the first battle in heaven, was when Lucifer set up a greater class of people, got a better class of angels, he thought, big a bigger kingdom, a more brighter, shinier kingdom than Michael had. And he was kicked out of heaven. See where class comes from? Stay away from class. The hungry don't want class; the hungry wants food. Yes, sir.

CHRIST IS THE MYSTERY 63-0728 79-1 Notice, in this last days, Lucifer's doing the same thing. Can you see it? The devil doing the same thing, building up a hybrid church--a hybrid, by hybrid members, hybrid by knowledge instead of the Word, by intellectual men instead of borned again men, building an intellectual kingdom that'll outshine Christ's little bitty flock. See? What is it that did that? Fallen angels. The Bible said it was fallen angels who listened to Lucifer instead of Christ, who they once belonged to? Is that right? 79-2 Now, listen close. Fallen angels, what kind of angels? Luther, Wesley, Catholic, Pentecostal who kept not their first estate like the angels did and has fell into organizations like Lucifer's main hold at Nicaea... And what have they done? Organized a great ecumenical association of ministers to make an image unto the beast, as the Bible said, and building a Christian economy that'll close the doors of this church and others like it. See Lucifer at his work? I'm trying to bring you the threefold revelation or mystery of God. What did they do? sold out to reasonings of wisdom and education like Eve did, fallen angels did. 79-3 Wesley was a man of God, but what followed him? Fallen angels got into it. What was the angels first? Created beings of God that fell for Lucifer's wisdom, fell for Luther--Lucifer's wisdom. And you see what they become? Fallen angels. And organizations from man of God who's went forth to establish truths in the earth, before that truth could go along and proclamate and get on to the real revelation of Christ, fallen angels come in and took it over and made denominations out of it. That's the reason the revelation of the Seven Seal mystery had to be unfolded. Now, you see it? What they left off... If Luther would've went on, it'd been here. If Wesley would've went on, if Pentecost would've went on, what would they'd done?

ONLY ONE WAY PROVIDED BY GOD V-21 N-2 63-0731 56 I'll say something here, maybe I oughtn't to say, but yet I believe I ought to say it. If you noticed, Lucifer is exactly doing the same thing today that he did at the beginning. See? Lucifer, at the beginning, wanted to build himself a kingdom which was greater and more beautiful than Michael's Kingdom, Christ. He want... That was his ambitions to achieve something like that. And what did he get to do it by? He took fallen angels who had lost their first estate. He took that to do it with. And today Lucifer has got into the church, and taken away the Word, and injected denominations, and he's building a church, the ecumenical move that's going on now, to unite all the Protestants together, and altogether come into Catholic. And this pope they got in now, to do the same thing, exactly what the Scripture said it would do. And what's he doing it by? He's doing it by men of those great ecumenical moves, who does not know God; and the many of them in the Pentecostals, 'cause they're doing the same. What is it? He's doing it with fallen angels, fallen Lutherans, fallen Methodists, fallen Pentecostals, that lost their original estate from the Word of God, and going right back in to make a great big ecumenical move. Fallen messengers, messengers who once stayed with the Word, but sold out their birthrights and joined in with the world... The same thing, it's at the last day. And their Lu... And Lucifer is achieving today by men with those spirits in them, that he did with angels at the beginning, fallen angels who kept not their first estate to obey God. And he's doing the same thing today.

GOD OF THIS EVIL AGE 65-0801M 79 Now, you said, "Satan's son?" Show me one place in the Bible that Cain was ever called Adam's son. The Bible said he was the son of that evil one: serpent's seed. No, the cover's been took off now, brother. The pyramid has been opened as the revelation showed. Notice what he will do, his thoughts. He thought God dwelled in worldly beauty. He did that in heaven. Sin never begin in the garden of Eden; it begin in heaven when Lucifer, the son of the morning, exalted himself in beauty and wanted a more beautiful kingdom than that of Michael. And he thought that God dwelled in beauty. And notice Cain. He didn't want no blood sacrifice. He come down and offered the fruit--or--or the fields of beauty upon his altar. Very religious, done everything that--just exactly like Abel done, offered a sacrifice, fell down before God in worship, obedient in every way, but without the revelation of the Word. And the Word was from the beginning, God's plan. But God revealed by revelation the very thing that He vindicated and punctuated that that was right: not religion, not an altar, not belonging to church, not making a sacrifice, not being sincere, but by the revelation of the Word of God, God revealing to him what--that it--his mother did not take a apple that a snake give her, but she had a sexual affair with the person of Satan in the form of the beast, not a reptile, but the most smartest, subtlest of all the field, the image of man, only thing that the seed would mix in. Now, science is trying to find him. And they never will find him, because every bone in his body's changed. But the Bible declares it to be so.

Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth He waas the anointed or consecrated cherub that covereth = cakak to overshadow or lay over….

and I have set thee [so]… God made him this way. God created him to bring forth the fall. God created him to lead in the worship with Michael and he made him that he would fall.

SERPENT'S SEED 58-0928E 13-5 Which is the strongest, as I said, the Saviour or sinner? Which has got the most strength? Then the stronger had to permit the lesser. And He only does it for His glory. When He made Lucifer, He knowed he would be the devil. And He had to let it be there to show that He was the Saviour, the Christ. He had to let it happen that way. Now, don't the Bible say all things work together for good to them that love God? So what are you scared about?

Thou was perfect in all thy ways, = complete, whole, entire, sound, finished off, in all thy course of life,

Until iniquity was found in thee Now this word iniquity is a Hebrew Word (e'vel) which actually means unrighteousness, or un-right-wise-ness. To act wrongfully or deviate from. So we find that this one deviated from the truth, and he is the progenitor of those who do deviate from the truth.

Jesus tells us how these two forms of life came to be that they would grow up side by side with one another in his parable of the wheat and tares. We will examine this parable in depth in the Chapter on Seed.

MATTHEW 13:24 ¶ Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? From whence then, hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

But the question is who planted those tares? What is their source. We find our answer also in Jesus breaking down of the parable.

MATTHEW 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; (Jesus is called by the title Son of Man more times that any other title in the scripture. This title, Son of Man, signifies a prophet. Therefore we see that a Prophet will come forth sewing seed). 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked [one]; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil;

Brother Branham further enlightens us on this parable in the 70-1 EPHESIAN CHURCH AGE BOOK CPT.3 These illustrations depict perfectly the parable of the Lord Jesus Christ when He said that the kingdom of heaven was like unto a man who sowed good seed, only to have an enemy come and plant tares amongst those good seeds. God did not plant the tares. Satan planted those tares right amongst the good seed of God. Those two kinds of plants (people), from two different seeds, grew up together. They partook of the nourishment in the same earth, they shared in the same sun, rain, and all other benefits, and both were harvested in their turn. Do you see it? Don't ever forget these truths as we study the church ages and later the seals. And above all, don't forget that it is in this last age, when the tares are getting bound for their burning, that they will shove out the wheat that is to be garnered by the Lord.

Now, we know that in the beginning God first gave birth to His Son Jesus. He was not God the Son, but He was the Son of God. Then immediately this Son of God, Who came forth like a little light, began to be used by God in bringing forth the creation of God.

In continuing with Q & A pp. 26, brother Branham went on to say, Now, "No man has seen the Father at anytime." No man can see God in the bodily form, because God is not in body form; God is a Spirit. See? All right. "No man has seen the Father, but the only begotten of the Father hath declared Him," I John... See? Now, but notice now, there's nothing; there's just space. There's no light; there's no dark; there's no nothing; it's just seems nothing. But in there is a great supernatural Being, Jehovah God, PP. 28 Now, notice. Then after while I begin to see a little sacred Light begin to form, like a little halo or something; you could only see it by spiritual eyes to look now, while we're looking, the whole church now. We're standing on a great big banister, watching what God's doing. And we'll get right down to this question here and you'll see how He brings it in.

Now, no one has seen God. And now, the next thing we begin to see, by eyes of supernatural looking, we see a little white Light forming out there. What is that? That was called, by Bible readers, "Logos," or "the anointed," or "the anointing," or the--as I was going to say, the--the part of God begin to develop into something so human beings could have some type of an idea what It was: it was a little, low--a little Light moving. He... That was the Word of God.

Now, God gave Himself birth to this Son which was before there was even an atom in the--or air to make an atom. That was... See, Jesus said, "Glorify Me, Father, with the glory that We had before the foundation of the world." See, way back in yonder...

Notice that brother Branham points out to us that it was a part of God which came forth in a birth process and brought forth a SON.

As Brother Branham continued in Q & A on Genesis, in pp. 32 he goes on to say, "Now, in St. John 1 He said, "In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us." God unfolding Himself down to a human being, now, watch how He did it. Now, back there, then, when this little halo comes... Now, we can't see nothing yet, but just by eyes of just supernatural we see a halo standing there. Now, that's the Son of God, the Logos, Now, I can see Him playing around like a little child before the Father's door, with all eternity. See? And now, then in His imaginary make-up He begin to think of what things would be, and I can hear Him say, "Let there be light." And when He did, an atom bursted and the sun came into existence.

Now, the first created being after the birth of the Son of God were the angels.

FIVE IDENTIFICATIONS 60-0911E 177 So the first thing He created... Now, some of you want to know about my Genesis story; God said, "Let us make man." The first thing He created was angels to worship Him, then He become God.

Now, I believe the first thing created was Lucifer, because he was called son of the morning, and we know the morning or morning star is the Son of God.

INFLUENCE 64-0315 E-37 Note the heavenly Seraphims with coverings over their faces. Now, the Seraphims is the burners of the sacrifice, which is one of the highest orders of angels. They're next to the cherubims. There is angels, and then Seraphims, and then cherubims. And Seraphims is actually the burner of the sacrifice, making the way for the sinners' approach, a real high order of holiness in the temple of God.

REV CHAP 4.PT.3 THRONE MERCY 61-0108 291 You notice, these--these Cherubims that John saw here must've been interested in keeping the Tree of Life, so they must be interested in human beings. Or read Genesis, getting back to Genesis again; They kept the Tree of Life, guarded it, the Way of Life, the Way of Life.

REV CHAP.4.PT.3 THRONE MERCY 61-0108 301 Moses was taken up into heaven: Moses, taken from the earth up into heaven and saw the altar of God. Is that right? I'm trying to prove my point here. You know what I'm trying to do, don't you? All right. He went up in the Presence of God. And when he descended from the Presence of God, he said... God told Moses, "Make everything on earth as patterned after heaven." Is that right? All right. Now, then when he did, when he made the ark of the covenant, he put two Cherubims to guard the ark. See what it is? It was the temple... It was the altar, the throne guards. The two Cherubims, He said, "Mold them out of brass and put their wings a touching like this," because that's exactly what he saw in heaven. That's exactly what John saw in heaven, these four Cherubims on the four sides of the ark of the throne in heaven. They were the guards of the ark. Cherubims, guards at the mercy seat. If you want to read that Scripture (We ain't got time to go to it.), put down Exodus 25:10 to 22. Now, they guard the mercy seat when God is in His Shekinah Glory. Where was the Shekinah Glory? At the mercy seat. Is that right? They guard that Shekinah Glory. Um. Whew.

Now, to this point I believe we can establish that Lucifer was a co-partner leading in the worship of God. He taught, He was a teacher. He knows the Word of God, but where he went off was when he added his own thoughts to what God said. He was perfect in all his ways until iniquity was found in him. He perverted the Word, He twisted it for his own self interest. He was not satifisifed with being a good steward of the Word of God and he wanted a bigger kingdom than Michael (Christ) had.

Notice, Paul calls him an angel of Light in 2 Corinthians 11.

II CORINTHIANS 11:13 For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore [it is] no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

And when Satan came to Jesus, what did he come with? The Word of God, only twisted.He came to eve in the Garden as a indwelling spirit in the serpent and what did he come to Eve with? The Word of God, only twisted. He is always that way. It is His nature.

LUKE 10:17 ¶ And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

So we see that the first Light that come forth was the Son of God and then we find the cherubims were created to guard the altar of God. And Lucifer was the anointed Cherub. He was anointed for a ministry of the word and he blew it.

EZEKIEL 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: Notice it was his brightness that corrupted his wisdom. This word brightness is the Hebrew word, yiph'ah {yif-aw'} meaning; splendour, brightness, shining and comes from the root word yapha which is the same wotrd which describes the Shekinah Presence.

DEUTERONOMY 33:2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand [went] a fiery law for them.

JOB 37:15 Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

PSALMS 50:2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

PSALMS 80:1 ¶ To the chief Musician upon Shoshannimeduth, A Psalm of Asaph. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest [between] the cherubims, shine forth.

So we see that he shown forth as a light. And since the Son of God was that first light, we can see how that Lucifer, who also was a light, and was made to fill the pattern, and was the same in every derail except without Eternal Life or God life, for he was a created being, and being that he had a beginning he will surely have an end.

And so we see the great falling away begin in the heaven's when Lucifer, now referred to as Satan, was cast out and when he left 1/3 of the host of heaven was cast out with him. Then he came down to the earth to continue the war against the Sons of God.

REVELATION 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Now, we find him in the earth back in the garden of Eden as one of the two trees which God placed but did not plant in the garden.

There are those two trees again, growing side by side in the same earth, partaking of the same nourishment, drinking in the same rain, and benefiting by the same sun. But they come from DIFFERENT seeds. One tree is FOR the Word of God, exactly as God gave it, and loves and obeys it. The other tree is from the seed that is anti the Word of God and changes it where it wants to. It substitutes its own creeds and dogmas for the living true Word exactly as did Cain, who ended up killing Abel. But fear not little flock. Stay with the Word. Keep that Word between you and the devil. Eve did not do that and she failed. And when the church lets down on the Word she goes into the depths of the darkness of Satan.

This is the future reward to all overcomers of all ages. When the last call to battle has been sounded, when our armour has been laid down, then we will rest in the paradise of God and our portion shall be the Tree of Life, forever.

"The Tree Of Life." Isn't that a beautiful figure of speech? It is mentioned three times in the Book of Genesis and three times in the Book of Revelation. In all six places it is the same tree and symbolizes exactly the same thing.

But what is the Tree Of Life? Well, first of all we would have to know what the tree itself stands for. In Numbers 24:6, as Balaam described Israel, he said they were "trees of lign aloes which the Lord hath planted." Trees throughout the Scriptures refer to persons, as in Psalms 1. Thus the Tree Of Life must be the Person of Life, and that is Jesus.

Now in the Garden of Eden there were two trees standing in the midst of it. One was the Tree Of Life, the other was the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. But man did partake of the other tree, and when he did, death entered into him by his sin, and he became separated from God.

Now that Tree back there in Eden, that Tree which was the source of life, was Jesus. In John, chapters six through eight, Jesus sets Himself forth as the source of eternal life. He called Himself the Bread from heaven. He spoke of giving Himself and that if a man ate of Him he would never die. He proclaimed that He knew Abraham, and that before Abraham, He WAS. He prophesied that He Himself would give them living waters that if man drank he would never thirst again, but would live eternally. He showed Himself as the GREAT I AM. He is the Bread Of Life, the Well Of Life, the Eternal One, the TREE OF LIFE. He was back there in Eden in the midst of the garden even as He will be in the midst of the paradise of God.

Some have an idea that the two trees in the garden were just two more trees like unto the rest of those that God had placed there. But careful students know that this is not so. When John the Baptist cried that the axe was laid to the root of all trees, he was not talking of simply natural trees, but of spiritual principles. Now in I John 5:11 it says, "And this is the RECORD, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son." Jesus said in John 5:40, "And ye will not come to Me, that ye might have life." Thus the record, God's Word, states plainly and clearly that LIFE, ETERNAL LIFE, is in the Son. It is no other place. I John 5:12, "He that hath the Son hath LIFE; and he that hath not the Son of God hath NOT Life." Now since the record cannot change, be taken from or added thereunto, then the record stands that THE LIFE IS IN THE SON... Since this is so, THE TREE IN THE GARDEN HAS TO BE JESUS.

All right. If the Tree Of Life is a person, then the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil is a person ALSO. It can't be otherwise. Thus the Righteous One and the Wicked One stood side by side there in the midst of the Garden of Eden. Ezekiel 28:13a "Thou (Satan) hast been in Eden, the garden of God."

Here is where we receive the true revelation of the 'Serpent's seed.' Here is what really happened in the Garden of Eden. The Word says that Eve was beguiled by the serpent. She was actually seduced by the serpent. It says in Genesis 3:1, "Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made." This beast was so close to a human being (and yet was pure animal) that he could reason and talk. He was an upright creature and was somewhat in between a chimpanzee and a man, but closer to a man. He was so close to being human that his seed could, and did mingle with that of the woman and cause her to conceive. When this happened, God cursed the serpent. He changed every bone in the serpent's body so that he had to crawl like a snake. Science can try all it wants to, and it won't find the missing link. God saw to that. Man is smart and he can see an association of man with animal and he tries to prove it out of evolution. There isn't any evolution. But man and animal did mingle. That's one of the mysteries of God that has remained hidden, but here it is revealed. It happened right back there in the midst of Eden when Eve turned away from Life to accept Death.

Notice what God said to them in the garden. Genesis 3:15, "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her Seed, It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel." If we give credit to the Word that the woman did have a Seed, then the serpent must have surely had a seed also. If the Seed of the woman was a man-child apart from the man, then the seed of the serpent will have to be in the same pattern, and that is another male must be born apart from human male instrumentality. There is no student who does not know that the Seed of the woman was the Christ Who came by the instrumentality of God, apart from human intercourse. It is also just as well known that the predicted bruising of the serpent's head was in actuality a prophecy concerning what Christ would accomplish against Satan at the cross. There at the cross Christ would bruise the head of Satan, while Satan would bruise the heel of the Lord.

99-2 EPHESIAN CHURCH AGE BOOK CPT.3 This portion of Scripture is the revelation of how the literal seed of the serpent was sown in the earth, even as we have the account of Luke 1:26-35, wherein is set forth the exact account of how the Seed of the woman came into physical manifestation apart from the instrumentality of the human male. "And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a Son, and shalt call His Name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David: And He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also That Holy Thing Which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." As the Seed of the woman was literally God reproducing Himself in human flesh, so the seed of the serpent is the literal way that Satan found he was able to open the door to himself into the human race. It was impossible for Satan (for he is only a CREATED spirit-being) to reproduce himself in the manner which God reproduced Himself, so the Genesis account tells how he produced his seed and introduced or injected himself into the human race. Also recall that Satan is called the 'serpent.' It is his seed or injection into the human race we are speaking of.

100-1 EPHESIAN CHURCH AGE BOOK CPT.3 Before Adam ever had carnal knowledge of Eve, the serpent had that knowledge ahead of him. And that one born of it was Cain. Cain was of (born of, begotten of) that "Wicked One". I John 3:12. The Holy Spirit in John could not in one place call Adam the "Wicked One" (for that is what he would be if he fathered Cain) and in another place call Adam the "Son of God" which he was by creation. Luke 3:38. Cain turned out in character like his father, a bringer of death, a murderer. His utter defiance of God when faced by the Almighty in Genesis 4:5,9,13,14, show him to be absolutely unhuman-like in characteristics, seeming even to surpass any account we have in Scripture concerning a confrontation of Satan by God. "But unto Cain and to his offering He had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear. Behold, Thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from Thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me."

100-2 EPHESIAN CHURCH AGE BOOK CPT.3 Notice the exact way the record of God sets forth the account of the births of Cain, Abel and Seth. Genesis 4:1, "And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. And she again bare his brother Abel." Genesis 4:25, "And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth..." There are THREE sons born from TWO acts of carnal knowledge by Adam. Since the Bible is the exact and perfect Word of God, this is no mistake but a record for our illumination. Since THREE sons were born from TWO acts by Adam, you know POSITIVELY that ONE of those three WAS NOT the son of Adam. God has recorded this in this exact manner to show us something. The truth of the matter is that Eve had in her womb TWO sons (twins) from SEPARATE impregnations. She was carrying twins, with Cain's conception sometime previous to that of Abel's. See those TWINS again. Perfect type as always. To those who think that this is not possible, let it be known that the medical records are replete with cases where women have carried twins who were of separate ova and separate insemination with the fertilization of the eggs being days apart, and NOT ONLY SO, but some of the records show that the twins were fathered by separate males. Recently worldwide coverage was given to a Norwegian mother who was suing her husband for support for herself and her twins, one of which was white and the other black. She admitted that she had a Negro lover. The two conceptions were about three weeks apart. In Beaumont, Texas, in 1963, the records again set forth a multiple birth wherein pregnancies were many days apart, in fact so much so that the woman almost died along with one child in childbirth.

101-1 EPHESIAN CHURCH AGE BOOK CPT.3 Now why did this have to be so? Why was it that the seed of the serpent must come this way? Man was created for God. Man was to be the temple of God. The place of God's rest (the Holy Spirit) was man, the temple. Acts 7:46-51, "Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob. But Solomon built Him an house. Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool: what house will ye build Me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of My rest? Hath not My hand made all these things? Ye stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye." Satan has known this all along. He also wants to in-dwell man even as God so does. But God has reserved to Himself that right. Satan cannot do that. God alone appeared in human flesh. Satan could not and cannot do that. He does not have creative powers. The only way for Satan to accomplish what he wanted to do was to enter the serpent in Eden even as he entered by evil spirits into the swine at Gadara. God does not enter animals; but Satan can and will to accomplish his ends. He could not have a child directly by Eve as did God by Mary, so he entered into the serpent and then beguiled Eve. He seduced her and by her did Satan have a child vicariously. Cain bore the full spiritual characteristics of Satan and the animalistic (sensual, fleshly) characteristic of the serpent. No wonder the Holy Spirit said that Cain was of that wicked one. He was.

102-1 EPHESIAN CHURCH AGE BOOK CPT.3 Now I want to go into some certain proof we have that there is a definite affinity between man and animal. It is a physical thing. Do you know that you can take the embryo cells from an unborn fetus and inject them into human beings? Then those thyroid cells will go right to the human thyroid, the kidney cells will go right to the human kidneys. Do you realize how stupendous this is? Some intelligence guides those animal cells exactly to the right place. That intelligence accepts those cells and puts them in exactly the right place. There is an affinity between animal and man. They can't intermingle and reproduce. That has been tried. But back in the garden that intermingling did take place and the chemical affinity which still exists proves it. For back in Eden the serpent was an upright creature. He was close to man. He was almost man. Satan took advantage of the serpent's physical characteristics to use him to beguile Eve. Then God destroyed that pattern of the serpent. No other beast can commingle with man. But the affinity is there.

102-2 EPHESIAN CHURCH AGE BOOK CPT.3 Now that we have come this far, let me try to crystallize your thinking on this subject so you can see the necessity of our going into the 'serpent seed doctrine' as I have. We start with the fact that there were TWO trees in the midst of the garden. The Tree of Life was Jesus. The other tree is definitely Satan because of what came forth of the fruit of that tree. Now then, we know that both of those trees had a relationship to man or they would never have been placed there. They must have had a part in the sovereign plan and purpose of God in their relationship to mankind and to Himself or we could never impute omniscience unto God. This is all true so far, is it not? Now the Word most definitely sets forth that from BEFORE the foundation of the earth the purpose of God was to share His Eternal Life with man. Ephesians 1:4-11, "According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved. In Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace; Wherein He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him: In Whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will." Revelation 13:8, "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (Satan) whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." But that Life could not, and would not, be shared in any other way than through the way of "God manifest in the flesh." This was a part of His eternal and predestinated purpose. This plan was to be to the praise of the glory of His grace. It was the plan of Redemption. It was the plan of Salvation. Now listen closely. "God being a Saviour, it was necessary that He predestinate a man who would require salvation in order to give Himself reason and purpose of being." That is one hundred percent correct and multitudes of Scripture bear it out as does the very pointed verse of Romans 11:36, "For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are ALL THINGS: to Whom be GLORY for ever. Amen." Man could not directly come and partake of that Tree of Life in the midst of the garden. That Eternal Life of the Tree had to become flesh first. But before God could raise and save a sinner, He had to have a sinner to raise and save. Man had to fall. The fall which would be caused by Satan, had to have flesh to make fall. Satan had to come through flesh also. But Satan could not come through human flesh to make the fall as would Christ come in human flesh to restore the fallen. But there was an animal, the serpent, so close to man that Satan could get to that beast and through that beast he could get to human flesh and cause the fall, and inject himself thereby into the human race, even as Jesus would one day come and inject Himself into the human race, into human bodies, even to the extent of a resurrection wherein we would have bodies like unto His glorified one. Thus what God worked out here in the garden was His predestinated plan. And when Satan had brought about that which was necessary to the purpose of God, then man could not get to the Tree Of Life in the garden. Certainly not. It wasn't time. But an animal (animal had caused the fall had it not? let animal life be shed) was taken and his blood shed and then God had communion with man again. Then there was to come a day when God would appear in flesh, and by means of His humiliation He would restore fallen man and make him a partaker of that Life Eternal. Once you see this, you can understand the serpent seed and know that it was no apple Eve ate. No, it was the degradation of humanity by intermingling the seed.

Now I know in answering one question another one is apt to come up, and people ask me, "If Eve fell that way, what did Adam do, for God lays the blame on Adam?" That is simple. The Word of God is forever settled in heaven. Before one speck of stardust was made, that Word (God's law) was there EXACTLY AS IT IS WRITTEN IN OUR BIBLE. Now the Word teaches us that if a woman leaves her husband and goes with another man she is an adultress and is no longer married and the husband is not to take her back. That Word was true in Eden as it was true when Moses wrote it in the law. The Word can't change. Adam took her back. He knew exactly what he was doing, but he did it any way. She was a part of him, and he was willing to take her responsibility upon himself. He would not let her go. So Eve conceived by him. He knew she would. He knew exactly what would happen to the human race, and he sold the human race into sin that he might have Eve, for he loved her.

And so those two sons were born. Sons that would be the fathers of the human race that was even now polluted. And what does the record say of them? Read the record. Jude 14, "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied..." Genesis 5 is the chapter of genealogy of Enoch. It gives that genealogy thusly, 1. Adam, 2. Seth, 3. Enos, 4. Cainan, 5. Mahalaleel, 6. Jared, 7. Enoch. Notice that Cain is not mentioned. The line of Adam goes through Seth. If Cain were the child of Adam, the law of the birthright would have given Cain the right in the lineage. Also it must be noted carefully that in Genesis 5:3, it says that, "Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image, and called his name Seth." Nowhere does it say that Cain was in Adam's likeness, yet he would have to be if he were his son, for the law of reproduction is emphatically that each brings forth after its likeness. We must also credit the fact that in both genealogies in Genesis and Luke, Cain is missing. If Cain were the son of Adam it would be said of him somewhere that, "Cain, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God." It does not say that for it CANNOT say that.

Of course students for a long time have set forth two lines of men: one of which was the godly line found in Seth and the other the ungodly line as founded by Cain. And it is strange, but true, these same students have never told us how it was that Cain was the kind of person he was while Abel and Seth were of the spiritual, godly line. Factually, Cain should have been spiritual and Abel less spiritual, and Seth even more so, and right on down the line because each succeeding generation has always gotten further away from God. But no, Cain comes forth as wicked as no man ever has been described for he violently withstands God and the Word.

Now let this be known: Scripture does not play with words. Whatever is in the Record is there for the anointed eyes to see. It is there for a purpose. In that Word it says, Genesis 3:20, "And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living." But no Scripture ever says that Adam is the father of all living. If there is not this connotation to be placed upon Genesis 3:20, why would it be mentioned that Eve is the mother of all, and no word said about Adam? The fact is that though Eve was the mother of all living, Adam was not the father of all living.

In Genesis 4:1, Eve said, "I have gotten a man from the Lord." She does not credit Adam with the fatherhood of Cain. But in Genesis 4:25, she says, "... For God, said she, hath appointed me ANOTHER seed, INSTEAD OF ABEL, whom Cain slew." She does not say God had GIVEN her another seed--that would have been Christ, for He is GIVEN. This son, Seth, was APPOINTED instead of Abel. She recognizes her son that came by Adam; she does not now recognize Cain for he came by the serpent. When she says ANOTHER SEED instead of Abel, she is saying that Cain was different from Abel, for if they were of the same father she would have had to say, "I have been given some MORE SEED."

I don't believe everything I read, but it is certainly a curious thing that the March 1, 1963, issue of LIFE reports psychiatrists as saying exactly the same thing we are discussing. Now I know that all psychiatrists don't agree with each other, but here it is. The fear of snakes is not a conscious revulsion but an unconscious one. If it were a natural fear people would just as happily stand fascinated before the gorilla or lion cages. Their unconscious thoughts keep them staring at snakes. That lure of snakes is unconsciously sexual. That it has been through the ages is seen by the people in generation after generation going through the same thing. Snakes have always been and always will be repulsively attractive. The snake has always stood for that which is both good and bad. It has been a phallic symbol through the ages. Just exactly as the Garden of Eden description, we find the serpent the personification of passionate evil.

It is almost universal amongst the various uncultured tribes that the snake is associated with sex and often worshipped in conjunction with it. The study of sexology brings that out in many instances. Now I would like to know where these people got that from, seeing they are uneducated and never read the Bible. But even as the story of the flood is known throughout the world, so is this truth of the fall of man known. They knew what happened there in Eden.

Now right here someone is going to ask me this question: Did God tell Eve to watch out for the serpent or the serpent would seduce her? Now listen, God didn't have to say one thing about what would happen. Just get the point of the story. He simply gave the Word. He said not to partake of KNOWLEDGE. Partake of LIFE. LIFE WAS THE WORD OF GOD. DEATH WAS ANYTHING THAT WASN'T THE WORD OF GOD. She allowed ONE WORD to be changed and right then Satan had her. God could have said, "Don't pick more fruit off the trees than you can eat." Satan could say, "Look, that is quite right. You see if you pick too much it will rot. But here is a method of preserving the fruit and yet at the same time you can pick all you want. So you see, you can have your way and God's way at the same time." The devil would have her right there. He that is guilty in ONE point of the law has broken the WHOLE law. Don't fool with that Word. That is exactly what happened in the Ephesian Age before it ran out in about 170 A.D.

And what did that tree produce? The Tree of Knowledge produced death. Cain killed his brother, Abel. The wicked killed the righteous. It set a pattern. It will keep that pattern until the restoration of all things as spoken by the prophets.

The Tree of Knowledge produced clever men; men of renown. But their ways are the ways of death. God's people are simple but spiritual minded, leaning toward God and nature, calmly tilling the soil, caring for truth rather than wealth. The seed of the serpent has brought tremendous commerce, wonderful inventions, but with it all comes death. Their gunpowder and atomic bombs kill in war; and in peace time their mechanical inventions, such as the car, kill even more in a time of peace than do the inventions of war destroy in times of trouble. Death and destruction are the fruits of her labors.

But they are religious. They believe in God. They are like their father, the devil, and their ancestor, Cain. Both of them believed in God. They go to church. They mingle with the righteous as do tares mingle with the wheat. In so doing they corrupt and produce a Nicolaitane religion. They spread their poison in every effort to destroy the seed of God even as Cain killed Abel. There is no fear of God before their eyes.

But God loses none of His own. He keeps them even in death, and has promised that in the last day He will raise them up.

Now we can see why there were two vines, one true and one false. Now we can see why Abraham had two sons, one after the flesh (the persecuted Isaac) and one after promise. Now we can see how that out of the same parents two boys came forth as twins, one knowing and loving the things of God, and the other knowing much of the same truth, but not of the same Spirit, and hence persecuted the child that was elect. God did not reprobate for the sake of reprobation. He reprobated for the sake of the elect. ELECT CANNOT persecute elect. ELECT CANNOT harm elect. It is the reprobates that persecute and destroy the elect. Oh, those reprobates are religious. They are smart. They are of the Cain line, the serpent seed. They build their Babels, they build their cities, they build their empires, and all the while calling on God. They hate the true seed, and they will do all they can, (even in the Name of the Lord) to destroy God's elect ones. But they are needed. "What is the chaff to the wheat?" No chaff, no wheat. But at the end, what happens to the chaff? It is burned with fire unquenchable. And the wheat? Where is it? It is gathered in His garner. It is where He is.

Oh elect of God, beware. Study closely. Be careful. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Rely upon God and be strong in His might. Your adversary, the devil, is even now going about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Watch unto prayer and be steadfast. This is the end time. Both the true and false vine are coming into maturity, but before the wheat matures, those ripened tares must be bound for the burning. See, they are all joining the World Council Of Churches. That is the binding. Soon the garnering of the wheat will come. But right now the two spirits are at work in two vines. Come out from among the tares. Start to overcome that you may be considered praiseworthy for your Lord, and fit to reign and rule with Him.
